When an Ex hero is released, he can be found in chests after each battle. The Ex location is completely random each time.

In case you fail at completing the Ex hero in time, his own booster will remain available for a few extra hours in the shop.

Here are the main characteristics of Ex heroes:

- Their nature will always be aimed at wide usage, meaning that they will never have a "VS" bonus skill;

 

- Generally, Ex heroes aren't meant to be support types. However, there are a few exceptions. Even then, their supportive nature will always be general, never specific;

- Ex heroes are either stand-alones or cohesive to a given Race/Class/Guild;

- Ex heroes aren't stronger than regular cards. The main reason to obtain one is to expand your deck building choices.
